US TOUR DIARY

Despite what this photo suggests I do wish you a warm welcome to my tour diary.. Everyones got to try and be Cash for at least one point in their life.

Washington State

This was taken in Omaha.. I visited a ‘frame shop’ along this street and met a lovely man who showed me a a drawing by Heather Benjamin, part of a collection called ‘sad people sex’… I was intrigued.
Side note, Omaha was probably the smallest gig but it was the BEST show, the people were just awesome.

Somewhere in Oregon, I’d travelled up from LA 2/3 days ago and then we hit 3ft of snow and the tallest trees I’d ever seen, like something out of a dream.

Toronto, the last show… I had SO much fun here. Everyone laughed along and clapped along and to be blunt that’s all a good show needs ;)

Birds of Wyoming

Salt Lake City..
Manager: Let’s get a photo
Me: No
Manager: We have to do your tour diary
Me:

Middle America.. Think we were definitely near Nebraska .. so of course we played Bruce Springsteen and of course ‘Born In the USA’ went on next… “cover me”

“I have a jack lead, I’m so cool” etc etc.

This is an outtake of a failure to try and recreate a Springsteen album cover… and when I say failure it really was. We’d just passed Minneapolis not long before and it was the coldest wind I had ever experienced in my life.

The only petrol station for about 100 miles, it had a big ‘Do not trespass’ sign on it.. and although getting shot was on the cards I was wearing matching red.. it had to be done.

Vancouver. As you may or may not know we passed Seattle and Portland on this tour, and everyone looked indie. So I thought hey, why not I can wear a cap.. I can turn it around.. I can look co- oh wait.

This guy (Son Little) is a legend. A total legend. He was so welcoming and all his band were amazing. I couldn't ask for a better big bro to be on tour with. ‘Alice’ is still my favourite tune… I have learnt the riff ;)
